Muthamman is an architecture studio in Amman. We take on a small number of private houses each year and stay with them from the first sketch to the last detail on site.
Architecture shaped by proportion, patience, and place.
We believe a house should feel inevitable — as if it could not have been arranged any other way.
Muthamman was founded on the conviction that good architecture begins with proportion. Every project starts from an underlying geometry, then earns its warmth through natural stone, timber, and carefully placed daylight.
We work at a deliberate pace and take on a limited number of projects each year, staying involved from the first sketch through to the final detail on site.

Muthamman means the eightfold — two squares, set forty-five degrees apart.

Scope of services
Private villas, residences, and mixed-use buildings taken from the first set-out drawing through to handover. We resolve massing, plan, and section around a single geometric idea, then protect it through construction.
Interiors composed around daylight, proportion, and a restrained material palette — stone floors, solid timber joinery, plaster walls, and lighting designed as part of the architecture rather than added to it.
Gardens, courtyards, and outdoor rooms that extend the plan into the site. Levels, shade, water, and planting are drawn at the same time as the building, so the threshold between them disappears.
Photoreal visualization produced in-house at every stage, so clients can walk a room, test a material, and judge the light long before the first stone is cut.
We stay present through construction — reading the drawings against what's actually being built, resolving details on site as they arise, and holding contractors to the tolerances the design depends on. The architect who conceived the house is the one who sees it finished.
We coordinate the contractors, consultants, and approvals a project depends on — sequencing the programme, tracking cost against the brief, and keeping decisions moving so the build stays on schedule without compromising the design.
From first conversation to final detail.
A clear process keeps each decision connected from the first brief through execution.
Consultation
Understanding the site, the people, and what the project needs before defining its direction.
